Ok so I started thinking about the two different 55 builds, and decided to make a 55 Mesmer. As with any 55 build the rules still apply, 55 health monk secondary. Here is the build i came up with.

55 Mesmer
Domination-16
Fast Casting-5
Inspiration- 4
Protection Prayers-10
Healing Prayers-8

Now that the attributes are down we go to the type of armor and runes. The type of armor you want to use is inchanter attire. the higher energy bonus come in handy later on. now to go along with the armor, you want the domination mask. Runes consist of all superior, 1 superior domination, 1 superior fast cast, 1 superior inspiration, and the last 2 whichever ones are the cheapest.

Now that we have our runes and armor go snag the -50hp offhand and i would suggest korvalds cane, the energy bonus is nice.

Ok so with weapons, armor, and runes all we need now are the skills. The skill line is as follows...
1. Energy Surge
2. Channeling
3. Protective Spirit
4. Vigorous Spirit
5. Healing Breeze
6. Essence Bond
7. Balthazars Spirit
8. Mending

From what I see, your build does 80 damage every 20 seconds, or 4 damage a second. I dont see how anything will die in a reasonable time frame

Check out Avarre's 55 Mesmer build. A 55 Mesmer can't deal as much damage as a 55 Monk, but he can reliably solo the UW.

His build goes something like this:

Illusionary Weaponry
Protective Spirit
Healing Breeze
Sympathetic/Ancestor's Visage
Power Drain
Mending
Balth's Spirit
Essence Bond

yeb avarre's build is the best for a 55hp mesmer
also when you are not in the UW its smart to switch power drain for disortion. that skill saved me many times when i didnt have enough energy for a prot spirit

don't you need power drain to interrupt the rend enchantments?

You can 2x wand them for the kill, problem is there is always a chance they can survive 2... or that you target too slow or are behind a wall etc. Power drain also helps manage energy for fighting terrorwebs and beating keepers of souls.
